Brett shaved the cat...

Well... where do I begin? Brett decided it would be a good idea to shave the cat so this is what I came home to from work.

As you can see in the next two pictures she is freezing and snuggles up a lot.

Finally Pregnant!!!

Where do I begin? We are so excited and can't wait to have a baby. We got the news right before Christmas. I actually was only 8 weeks along but we thought it would be fun to tell everyone for Christmas! Here is our first picture of our little one.

The passed few years have been a challenge for me and my husband. When we had been married for only about 6 months I already wanted to start a family very badly. Brett was not ready for having a baby yet. So I waited a year... and another...and then finally Brett said he was ready! I couldn't wait! Thinking we would have a baby right away... NOPE didn't happen that way. After I had gotten off of birth control my body was wacked. At one point I had my period for 6 weeks. Let me tell you... it was horrible.

Finally after along year of trying I was pregnant! I seriously took a pregnancy test 5 times because I was so surprised! I had taken many tests that year and just couldn't believe my eyes. The passed 3 years of wanting a baby has been such a challenge and I was finally having a baby!

So our little peanut is going to be a boy! We will name him Samuel Eric Taylor and call him by his middle name like his daddy. Samuel is my husbands first name, his dads and my brothers. Eric is my fathers name.

I feel so blessed to be able to have this little angle that I have been waiting for. One year of trying seemed like forever but I feel so blessed to have children. My heart goes out to the women that are trying to have children that take a few years to.

My deep thoughts about this is during the time of trying to have a baby it was even harder because I had people say "Don't wait too long to start a family" or "When are you going to have kids?" I could go on. I feel like the best way to go about this is "Do you plan to have children?" And leave it at that. Now going through what I have I feel so sensitive towards others when asking that question. It was hard not to compare myself to my friends that had only been married a few months that were pregnant or been married less time then me. I know that seems so silly but I would think "I have been married 3 years and they just got married. We should have had a baby by now."

So with that in mind I finally decided I needed to stop thinking about it. So I went to nail school which has been the best choice. Once I finished school I got pregnant a month later! I can't believe how quick time had gone by. At the time it was so hard waiting but now that the time is here and I will be having a baby I feel so blessed and grateful that we only were trying to have a baby for one year. My heart and prayers go out to those that want children that haven't had their time yet

Our Dog Holly

We got Holly in Nov. of 2012. I was very excited that my husband let me get her because the year before we had a dog it didn't work out. When we had had our last dog Rue it was very hard because I was working full time and had to get up anywhere from 4 am to 5:30 am. Training a puppy with a schedule like this was VERY hard. So with many tears we sold her to a good family friend. Then almost exactly a year later I begged and begged to get a dog again. Brett was not very excited about this because of last time being so hard. But the LOVING and wonderful husband that he is... he new that things had been very hard for me because I had not been getting pregnant and he wanted to help me get that off my mind. SO! With being home more now and doing nails from home I have been able to give Holly lost of attention and love. If anything I have needed her more then she needs me. When I am home alone it is nice to have the company.

Lilli's Photo Shoot of it's so Bloody HOT!

So... our first year in our new home and we didn't have a.c. lol. Let's just say our cat was dying of heat!

Our Sweet Lilliput

We got our amazing Lilli in the fall of 2011. She has been the best cat ever! We named her after Lilliput a dark purple flower. She was in a shelter as a kitten and my sister Jessica came with me to pick her out! She was spayed and came with a bag of food ALL for FREE! We were worried because she was much smaller then she was suppose to be and was extremely SKINNY. The lady that worked at the shelter said that she was just the runt and didn't get to the food fast enough. This kitty has been the best! She likes to play fetch and tag. We are so grateful to have such a wonderful and fun cat!

Caramel Apples:

6 apples
14 oz of caramel
butter on pan
1 tbs of milk
wooden sticks
First stick the sticks in the apples (you can get in the craft section at wal-mart). Then get the caramels in a bowl and add 1 tbs of milk. Put the bowl in the microwave and put it for 2 min. then mix and put in for another 20 sec. Take the apples and role them in the caramel. Try to hurry because it hardens fast. Then put them on a pan with butter rubbed on the pan. Let the apples sit for 25 min. and they are ready to be eaten!!! If you want to make them more yummy you can add candy or nuts crushed.
