This is the life

Well I had some extra time on my hands today. I was spotting this morning and my wonderful mother came with me to the doctor. The doctor said to take it easy... this is not easy for me because I am O.C.D so every min I have a chance I clean and work in our yard. SO it has been difficult to sit or stay in bed for me. Thought I would just blog!

Yes... the other day I made garlic bread, homemade lasagna and home grown asparagus! Let me tell you it was AMAZING. I am so glad we decided to grow asparagus. It is one of my favorites and I feel like it's usually pricey at the store.

My wonderful husband...what can I say? The other day we were going out to dinner with some friends and I wanted to wear my favorite shoes but couldn't put them on because of my baby belly. So I asked my husband if he could put my "Greek Goddess" sandals on, as he likes to call them. He was more then willing to. There are not enough words to express how much I love this man.

Now that it is so nice out side I have been sitting in the back yard at my patio set trying to get a tan. My little Holly was so cute passed out on the grass I just had to take a picture. I love this dog but some days she drives me nuts!

Finally painted my toes... I have no idea how but I did.

Feeling Loved

This has just been on my mind the passed few weeks and wanted to express how I feel. As you know everyone has a love language. When you get married this is very important to go threw with your spouse. It's funny because I think we focus on what we would want done to us then what they would want done to themselves. Here are some of the types of love languages:

Words of Affirmation

Quality Time

Gifts

Acts of Service

Physical Touch

I would have to say mine would definitely be words of affirmation and gifts. Sometimes acts of service, it just depends. My husbands would be physical touch :).

When I have worked hard all day long to clean the house I loan for my husband to come home and praise me for my hard work. He does very well with this but I have learned that it has been very important for me to communicate to him to do that because then he will wonder what he did wrong because I will be mad that he didn't say anything lol. I also believe I am this love language with simple things like a letter of gratitude, birthday wishes, a call from a close friend saying they miss me and etc. Then as for gifts its not because I want "stuff". I don't know why I feel so loved when people give me gifts. I guess I just feel so happy that someone thought of me. So those that are close to me you will notice I express how I love you the way that I feel most loved.

I wish I could feel loved in all five of these ways but its not that simple. I am learning that I have to understand that even those that I love don't express their love to me in those ways that they still love me. I have to keep reminding myself that I have to communicate that to my husband too. But not just that, my husband has to remind me how he feels most loved. I am so grateful for my husband and how caring and thoughtful and what a good communicator he is. I am so lucky!

My Birthday!

May 3rd

This year I had a great 23rd birthday!!! My husband asked what I wanted this year and I said I just want my honey do list done around the house. And he did it all!!! I am so happy to have so many things done that took over a year to get done! lol.

I had a wonderful week end with family. I went to Zupas for lunch with my mother in her sexy new red car;-). After that we went shopping with some of the birthday money my gma gave me. Then once the kids got out of school we went on my dads new boat.

My husband Brett and I went to Texas Road House for dinner Friday night and Saturday we went to the mummy museum in SLC. It was so much fun but...let me tell you being pregnant made it hard lol. I was so tired at the end of the day.

Just want to say thank you so much for all of the thoughtful birthday wishes and cards. I really appreciate it! It means so much to me and I feel so loved! And special thanks to my husband working 60 hours a week and STILL getting my wish list done :-). Thank you mom and dad for buying me my beautiful tile to put in our home! Best gift I could ever ask for. Such a great birthday this year!!!

Here are some fun pictures of my birthday:
